November 2nd: Pól Harkin to Represent Thar Saile at Gaelic League in Detroit

 

Thar Saile representative Pól Harkin (who is also the current IAUC National Vice President) will speak about the issues facing Irish republican ex-prisoners who reside in the US at an event organized by Irish Northern Aid at the Gaelic League in Detroit, Michigan.  Pól’s presentation will begin at 2:30pm and will be followed by Detroit INA’s annual “Brit’s Out Party.”

Thar Saile is endorsed by the following national Irish groups: Ancient Order of Hibernians, Irish-American Unity Conference and the Irish Northern Aid Committee.

Thar Saile means “overseas” – “across the ocean”.  Thar Saile is dedicated to working for the rights of former Irish Political POWs in the United States.

What Thar Saile Does:

Thar Saile is a former Irish Republican Prisoner based organization
dedicated to working for justice for the men and women who gave so much
for the Irish struggle for freedom.

Thar Saile is specifically an Irish American organization with the aim of:

* Bringing about a complete resolution to the legal status of former Irish Republican POWs living in the United States.
* To promote and agitate for the full implementation of the Good Friday
Agreement and the re-unification of Ireland through a program of dialog
and education throughout the US Forging good working relationships with
other Irish American Organizations who share similar ideals to work
together for the re-unification of Ireland; in particular, the Irish
American Unity Conference, Irish Northern Aid and the Ancient Order of
Hibernians.
