Meeting of the Genealogy Society of Bergen County

In the summer of 1832, fifty-seven Irishmen came to America for a better life, but within eight weeks all were dead of cholera and murder. This program will explore the story of their lives and deaths in early industrial America. The talk will include the latest news on the state of the archival research and the archaeological dig underway in Pennsylvania. The Rev. Dr. Frank Watson, a Lutheran clergyman and historian, is the co-founder of the Duffy’s Cut Project. He is also the co-author of “The Ghosts of Duffy’s Cut”. He has spoken about Duffy’s Cut on CNN’s “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.” All welcome. Free.
